Om really? A new yoga studio in Glasgow City Centre.

Salka Yoga, founded on the belief that ‘yoga is for everyone’, has launched into a permanent space, this time one of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings, Argyll Arcade.

Following its successful run at South Block studios, where Salka Yoga built a strong following among Merchant City creatives and artists, the team is excited to be extending into another location, making it possible for more locals to give yoga a try. .

Classes are specifically designed with beginners in mind and sessions will now run twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with more days planned for release soon.

Salka was born out of the love two busy creatives, Borja Alcalde and Emma Koubayssi, had for yoga and their experience that it can positively transform all aspects of life.

Yoga was not always an obvious choice for the pair and they understand directly the barriers people can face when considering trying the practice. Studios can often feel intimidating and cost prohibitive, so many people who want to start yoga do not.

Both on a mission to make yoga as open as possible, they created Salka as a gateway for people to try yoga on for size. They keep things simple, provide hands on teaching to aid learning, pop up in a non traditional settings and work hard to offer affordable classes priced at £5.
